ANGELS AND AIRWAVES HAVE A Celebrity Sex Wishlist

US rockers Angels And Airwaves have drawn up a celebrity sex wishlist. The band - lead by former Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge - came up with it while they were touring.

Guitarist David Kennedy told BANG Showbiz he has a crush on Nelly Furtado confessing: "I want to hug her. She's got this huge butt that is absolutely beautiful.

DeLonge joked: "Mine would have to be Kevin Bacon. I'm just kidding, but my wife won't let me have one because as we're always on the road there is a good chance that if I had one I would meet the person I wanted to do it with!"

ANGELS & AIRWAVES rocker TOM DeLONGE admires veterans THE ROLLING STONES for their staying power - but thinks their concerts are "terrible".
The former BLINK 182 star, 30, saw a recent Stones gig and was horrified with his rock heroes' performances.
DeLonge says, "We are here to rule the planet. I'd like us to be still touring when we are old."
"People talk s**t about the Stones being on the road and I don't want anyone telling me I can't play music any more, no matter what age I am.
"I did go see them in the US but I didn't really like it.
"The show sucked - not necessarily because they are old.
"The production was terrible, they had really lame lights and stuff. There was just no impact."

Sabato 21 Giugno Mark Hoppus era alla prima del film "La Maledizione Della Prima Luna 2" con sua moglie. Su MSN.com il video di un intervista fatta sul red carpet. If you've ever seen the show (especially when the couple first moved in) you know that this new home is so spacious that it echoes. today is awesome. i am typing this post to all of you great humans on the new sidekick3. and of course it rules. we went to the release party last night and the futureheads played. awesome surprise! i was bummed i missed she wants revenge.

anyway, i am sitting here at the studio with my new device. i don't know what to do first - take photos, download music, IM someone, or gloat that i have one and you don't. there are oh so many possibilities.

and today we are recording AND doing a photo shoot. that's called multitasking. i even brought an extra clean t-shirt. hey, maybe i'll take some pictures too with my new sidekick3. did i mention that i got a new sidekick3? did i mention it was free?

sick!

someone got me sick. i'm not sure who it was or when it happened, but the damage has been done. and when i find out who got me sick, all hell is going to break loose. i am going to give that person a VERY stern look, and maybe, just maybe even roll my eyes. yes, i am THAT serious about it. in any case, i'm sick. my house looks like it was attacked by tissues and every time i cough, it feels like i've just gotten punched in the chest.

james told me that there's a new al gore movie suggesting that global warming is among us. i wonder if global warming is responsible for my illness. the good news is that being taken out by this cold has given me a great opportunity to catch up on my complaining and absurd requests. "hey i feel like i need sushi to clear my sinuses with wasabi. can you go get some and bring it home for dinner? and also i need tissues with blue dancing bears on them. NOT THE ONES IN THE RECTANGLE BOX. SQUARE BOX ONLY!!! I CAN'T BE FOLDING RECTANGULAR TISSUES IN MY SORRY CONDITION!!!" anyway...

i've been doing a lot of televisioning and pro tools programming while i've been recuperating. i've also been listening to the thom yorke solo record and it's pretty ridiculously good. and i'm still way into the AFI album, which was officially released today. and then there's the paris hilton single that stereogum posted. wait, what?

so in closing i'd like to give a belated birthday shout to lil chris baker, who had a "lil" birthday celebration on sunday... in more ways that one. you will hear all about it on the next podcast. also ryan hewitt, who engineered the last blink-182 album and mixed some of the tracks, celebrated his birthday yesterday. mazel tov! and finally i'd like to give a shout out of the rest of (+44) who are hard at work on the record while i sit here at home coughing.

now i'm going to request some chicken noodle soup. NOT FROM THE DELI DOWN THE STREET! THE ONE WAY DOWNTOWN! I KNOW THERE'S TRAFFIC AND IT'S FAR AWAY BUT I'M SICK. DO MY BIDDING!!!

E' arrivato il gran giorno. Per chi ci andrà, ovvio!

Il giorno in cui molti proveranno a farsi emozionare dal rinnovato DeLonge, ma forse anche il giorno in cui tutti i nostalgici dei Blink 182 saranno un po' tristi nel sapere Tom sul palco insieme ad altri 3 "sconosciuti". Lontano dai suoi amici (?) Mark e Travis.

E' anche il giorno in cui alcuni amici del Forum si incontreranno per condividere questo momento: il ritorno in Italia di 1/3 dei Blink 182. Personalmente auguro a tutti coloro che ci andranno di divertirsi, emozionarsi e trascorrere una bella giornata insieme.

three songs!

i didn't finish the podcast today. i wanted to. i meant to. i just didn't. i'm sorry. i didn't mean to hurt you. it'll be better for all of us in the long run if we can accept this for what it is - our first wednesday release - and move on. moving on...the good news is the reason i didn't finish the podcast yesterday is because we have been (+44)ing this week till the wheels fall off. very good things are going on here in the studio.

this podcast is amazing. well, it's very good. pretty good. or terrible. somwhere in that range. the amazing parts are the songs by alkaline trio, small towns burn a little slower and houston calls. the terrible part is where i talk quite a lot through the whole thing. and i rule. sometimes. other times i suck or am kind of average. you get all these things and more on this podcast.

today, but the way, has been a great day. we're working on a song that we have tentatively titled weartherman, though that title will soon change. i've been working out a few melodies, harmonies, etc... i'm also waiting for my coffee. i ordered a cappuccino. i hope it comes soon. i gotta go, travis is about to play drums.

The split is still somewhat of a mystery to fans. Other than admitting that he wasn't enjoying his time in the band anymore, DeLonge says only he and his Blink bandmates – Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker – know the reason for the separation.

Recalling the happy times with Blink-182, DeLonge gushes over his ex-bandmates.

"Mark and Travis are amazing people. Travis is the most amazing musician I have ever met in my entire life. I would love to set aside an hour a day to watch him play drums. The guy is phenomenal. He's so charismatic. Mark is the funniest guy you've ever met, the most amazing songwriter. I've learned so much from him.

"I remember when we were working on 'Enema of the State' and he called me up at like one in the morning and he goes, 'check out this song,' and it was called 'Going Away to College,' and it was the perfect song to write about a girl when you're leaving and you're not going to see her."

After the split, the band released a statement saying they were going on an extended "hiatus." But barring some unforeseen turn of events, consider the band extinct.

"I'm at a time in my life where I needed to do something different for me and my family," DeLonge says. "I don’t know what the future holds. I just don't think now is the time. I would be honoured to play with those guys again but I just don't know when."

But Hoppus and Barker haven't been as complimentary towards DeLonge as he has been towards them.

On December 13 of last year, the day the first Angels and Airwaves material was released and DeLonge's birthday, a band called "+44," consisting of Hoppus and Barker, released their first song, "No It Wasn't" on their web site.

The song included the lyrics, "Please understand, this isn't just goodbye, this is I can't stand you," which many Blink fans interpreted as being about DeLonge.

DeLonge isn't so sure.

"I don’t know their intentions. They're probably hurt by the whole thing. It was probably tough on them like it was myself. I haven’t talked to them in over a year so I don’t know where they're coming from and I don’t know what they mean. They have their own choices of how they want to present their music and how they want to debut their band so I can't look into why they do what they do."

we'd like to welcome a new member to the family here at (+44). it is a 1994 tele jr guitar and oh dude does it ever rule. p-90 pickups perfect for distorted leads. it only arrived a week and a half ago and already it has made its way into several tracks. the thing sounds huge. also, i started reading a book called "wouldn't it be nice," about the making of the beach boys "pet sounds" record. even though we are living in the computer age, i hope you all still know what a record is. even though i shamefully don't own a turntable. but i do have records. the prize of my collection is my original 12" vinyl of "pac-man fever," complete with the poster showing the pattern of how top successfully pass each level. try memorizing that! anyway, let's talk about music some more...

the less than jake album came out today. go and buy it. the album is called IN WITH THE OUT CROWD. we here at himynameismark love less than jake. and not just because a certain song on the album - "the rest of my life" - is co-written by the most charming, relatively tattoo-less member of (+44). check it out.

also in the world of new music, i got my hands on the new AFI record. we here at himynameismark also love AFI. and not only because (+44) and AFI share producers. they rule! and this album is sweet. it doesn't come out for another two weeks so you'll have plenty of time to save up for it. that's less than a dollar a day! think about it...

me, craig and shane are holding down the fort and i'm about to do some singing. by the way, the bass sound yesterday ended up being more suited to "lettuce," the bass that i used on pretty much everything since enema of the state. "petey" was sad, but he will see his day again soon. also, stay up and look for travis playing drums tonight at the american country music awards. i think the awards begin at 8pm est and he's part of the buck owens tribute. that’s all for now. byebye

Just thought I’d let you know that channelv.com.au (the website for the music TV channel here in Oz) has just posted up our Tom DeLonge interview. In it, he talks about one day getting Blink back together, why AVA is “is rewriting how rock bands are going to do stuff for the next ten or fifteen years” and how he coped with Blink’s break-up (“That break up took years off my life.”)

oh man am i hungry. i've been here at the studio since 8:30 this morning. (+44)'ing. singing songs, writing stuff, hanging out with friends. doing what i do. and now i look at the time and here it is 2:30 and we haven't eaten lunch yet. time flies when you're having fun. daniel, travis's drum tech, suggested this new restaurant that serves great sandwiches. or so he claims.

as i type this to all you fine people, food is en route from said restaurant to our humble studio here in the heart of the city of angels. for myself, i ordered a turkey sandwich with raclette cheese. seriously, i can't wait. i have no idea what raclette cheese is, but that's what life is all about - new experiences. here we are. seizing the day! discovering new things! eating sandwiches from a shop we have never been to before! we really live every day to its fullest here.

the only thing is, i wish they had fries. it's one of those high end sandwich shops that you get a salad with your sandwich and they don't ask you if you want fries with that. a salad! a salad? what the hell... so bummed. why does the man try and keep me down, keep me away from completing my delicious lunch? and, by the way, they also don’t have any fountain drinks. i'm going to reach deep down and find the strength to get through this. i'll be okay, don't you worry. thanks for your concern. anyway what the hell was i talking about? oh yeah, the podcast...

Blink-182 may be "on hiatus" -- Tom DeLonge is now fronting Angels and Airwaves, while Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus have formed Plus 44 -- but the guys remember their 2000 Rolling Stone cover shoot like it was yesterday. Probably because it involved water sports, a whole lot of nudity and Christina Aguilera (well, almost). Hoppus and DeLonge dished on the details with Gavin Edwards for our 1000th issue.

Minus Ms. Dirrty, says Hoppus, "it was actually cool that we got to do it on our own . . . When you you're on the [Rolling Stone]cover, it's like the first time you hear your song on the radio or see your video on TV."

here's what you need to do. first, get to the store (online or "brick and mortar") and purchase the PUNK GOES 90's comp that fearless records released today. among other great tracks, it features a classic NIN song covered by the super-talented himynameismark alumn "mae." and don't even get me started on who produced the hell out of this track. i mean, when i say that the production was second to none and that the producer may or may not be hung like a dinosaur, well, i'm only kinda lying. actually, the producing on the song is second only to the production on the original. but the dinosaur thing is true. nevertheless, the song rules. trent reznor wrote it. mae performed it. mark hoppus (that's me. my name is mark) produced it. chris holmes engineered and mixed it. james brought us all delicious food and coffee. we all did our part. now it's up to you. check it out.

or don't. i'm not a bully. i'm not going to make you buy a cd that you don't want to buy (you want to buy it - go buy it). but maybe you'd rather buy "surprise" by paul simon. co-written and produced by brian eno. also available today. also great. sure to bring you joy and wonder and everything else you'd expect from paul simon and the father of ambient music.

or you can go out and buy "st elsewhere" by gnarls barkley. it’s cee-lo (of goodie mob fame) and dangermouse (of gorillaz, grey album and dangerdoom fame) and it’s very rad. and while you’re at it, you could also pick up the album dangermouse did with jemini the gifted one. it’s called "ghetto pop life."

or you can act like a 50 year old man like my 26 year old friend jon and tell me how excited you are because season six of the west wing is finally available for purchase. jon and my dad would get along great. what if jon ended up with my dad and james ended up with my mom? the holidays may be getting very awkward soon...

The band will also interview renowned conspiracy theorist James Fetzer, world-famous surfer Timmy Curran, and this is just the beginning... who knows what will happen when the band have the airwaves to do whatever they want with.
 
In keeping with the band's logo, "KAVA" will serve as the call letters for the day as the band creates play lists, interacts with listeners and takes complete control of the 91X airwaves.

Personalmente mi è nuova... la notizia che Tom DeLonge (si proprio il nostro Tom) avrebbe scritto una canzone per il rapper (!?) Talib Kweli.

Un certo David P., dello staff di B182.com, avrebbe chiesto allo stesso Kweli che fine avrebbe fatto la canzone scritta da DeLonge per lui. Ed ecco la sua risposta:

oh man. this is getting good. intense. insane even. and i know you know what i'm talking about. the lakers. kicking some major ass. and i'm so psyched about it. woohoo!

okay, i lied. i don't normally follow sports at all, but i know the lakers are in the playoffs. and they won this weekend. i'm down. when it's final four time, my mind is on the lakers. my friend hoover would be so proud. and now that it's march madness, i'm ready to root the lakers on. to make sure i'm just enough in the loop so that when some dude at the gas station is filling up next to me and says, "hey man, you see that game?" i can lie and say, "yeah. crazy, huh?" and not be exposed as the sports-clueless, figure-skating aficionado that i am.

so anyway, podcast fourteen. this one is, like, a million times better than podcast thirteen, which if you ask me, almost feels like it doesn't even exist. this one features music by eight fingers down, hidden in plainview and the futureheads. three great bands. and we talk to some members of the bands. and my mom. and james is there and it's just good old fashioned fun and you’re soooooooo friggin lucky that i waste my time so that you can too.

prepare to be underwhelmed and wonder where your last thirty minutes went.

PLUS 44 AD OTTOBRE + TRACKLIST (NON UFFICIALE)

Plus 44 Online, ha postato un bulletin su MySpace dove dice di aver incontrato Mark Hoppus ad una festa e che lo stesso Hoppus gli avrebbe detto di avere l'album dei Plus 44 sul suo iPod, e che l'album dovrebbe uscire verso Ottobre di quest'anno. Ma ecco quanto postato:

Rikki, one of our friends on MySpace met Mark Hoppus at Travis' DC Shoe Signing Party in Corona, CA.
"He mentioned that Travis and he were in the studio the night before and that he had the album in his ipod and that it is expected to drop in October!"
Now both Mark and Travis have said to expect in October.

Secondo altre voci non ufficiali, qualcuno in giro va dicendo di essere in possesso di una copia non masterizzata dell'album dei Plus 44.  Dicono sia un CD-R con delle canzoni non ancora definitive.

Adam Francois Guymon, 16 anni di Redondo Beach, CA, è morto dopo aver assistito del  degli Angels and Airwaves in un'incidente stradale. Non che questo ragazzo fosse diverso dagli altri che muoiono per la stessa causa, me questa news va postata in quanto si trattava di un ragazzo con la nostra stessa passione. Il pensiero comunque vuole andare a lui, così come a tutte le vittime della strada.

Qui sotto c'è un piccolo pezzo d'articolo di giornale locale di Redondo Beach, CA:

"Adam, who went to school for eight years at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Torrance before attending Bishop Montgomery High School, spent his last night alive at the Angels & Airwaves concert in Ventura, where he watched his favorite guitarist, Tom DeLonge. He called Mares from the concert and said he was enjoying the show. Adam started playing guitar in the sixth grade, after watching DeLonge of blink-182."

This summer will see Taking Back Sunday, Angels & Airwaves and Head Automatica joining forces for a comprehensive North American tour. There are no specific dates for the tour announced yet, but it is expected to commence in mid-June, once TBS return from Europe. All three bands have new albums coming out soon: TBS's Louder Now hits stores April 25; AVA's We Don't Need To Whisper comes out May 23; and Head A's Popaganda drops June 6.

MTV ci avvisa che il 26 Aprile 2006 ci sarà l'anteprima del video di "The Adventure" degli Angels and Airwaves.

i'd wanted to, but neglected to talk about my wild tetris ds battles with brother-in-law mitch. actually, i'm not sure battles would really describe what they were. it's more like when the (enter really good sports team) play the (enter notoriously awful sports team). you know what i mean? anyway, if you see mitch in the street, taunt him because he was soundly handed his ass seven games to one. eat that, mitch! you have no game! none! where was i? ah yes...

there are three songs on this podcast. all are complemented by interviews with some of the bands' members. and we even went intercontinental for all y'all. we called jolly old rome for an interview with our italian friends in vanilla sky. and then we used our anytime minutes to talk to punchline. it was phone fun and i'm sharing it all with you.

Ieri, Mercoledì 12 Aprile 2006, Tom DeLonge e la sua nuova band, gli Angels and Airwaves, si sono esibiti per la prima volta. Il loro primo show si è tenuto al Glass House di Pomona, CA.

Arthur, membro dello staff di B182.com è stato al loro concerto e ha definito il tuto con queste parole:

Cosa posso dire? E' stato pazzesco. E' stato energetico. E' stato TOTALMENTE diverso dai Blink. E' stato Angels and Airwaves! La scaletta è stata quella delle 10 canzoni dell'album con l'aggiunta di una canzone dei Box Car Racer, "There Is" e "Down" dei Blink 182.

DeLonge Gets Serious With Angels & Airwaves

Blink-182/Box Car Racer principal Tom DeLonge returns to the music marketplace this spring with the new band Angels & Airwaves. Its debut, the self-produced "No Need to Whisper," is due May 23 via Suretone/Geffen.

Box Car Racer cohort David Kennedy, former Rocket From The Crypt drummer Atom Willard and former Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn joined DeLonge for the effort, though he was "getting calls from people who have sold millions of records, more than even [Blink-182] did."

"When I realized Blink wasn't going to be happening anymore, I realized I had new things that I needed to live up to," DeLonge tells Billboard.com "I had no idea I was going to make the best album of my life."

The artist drew lyrical inspiration from his brother's service in the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. "This has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, but war," he says. "I'm mad because my brother almost died in a war where people didn't need to go in the first place."

The synth- and effects-heavy 10-track set touches on this heady topic, as well as love and heartbreak ("It Hurts," "Good Day"). First single "The Adventure" is available through the band's Web site.

Angels & Airwaves hit the road tomorrow (April 12) in Pomona, Calif., and will open a handful of dates for Taking Back Sunday. DeLonge says a headlining tour is in the works for the fall.

As for the future of Blink-182, which has been on hiatus since February 2005, DeLonge says he regrets having stopped in the wake of its eponymous 2003 album.

"We really turned a corner with that record. And then we stopped, which is sad because I would have loved to see where we would have gone next," he says. "I haven't talked to those guys in over a year. Bands are a relationship. Sometimes you just have to step back and give them some room."

i just got the live gorillaz dvd. it's amazing. seriously. go buy it. invite your friends over and order some pizza and put it on your big screen. or do what i did: order some pizza, put it on your big screen, and watch it with your IMAGINARY friends. mine are roger and steve. roger works construction and likes watching that deal or no deal show. steve is just a jerk. don't ask why i'd make up an imaginary friend who's a jerk. that's just how i roll. and it's better that hanging out with james and chris holmes. anyway, i'll tell you what else i've got...

the new secret machines album. it rules. do you have it? if you do, you know what i'm talking about. you're saying, "hell yeah mark. it IS super amazing." and there's probably someone in the room wondering why you're speaking to your computer. stop being so weird. seriously. it's creeping me out. now if you DON'T have the album, do you and your loved ones a favor and pick it up. seriously folks, there's no better way to tear through your discretionary income that to buy some great music. and if you're running out of discretionary income, dip into your college fund. tell mom and dad you're going to college. you're buying the secret machines album instead. they'll understand.

i've ALSO got me and my katamari on PSP. thanks anne and mitch. now this may not mean much to some of you, but that's only because most of your priorities are all out of wack. this is big. BIG! because now i can drive myself crazy when the katamari i am pushing gets stuck behind some kind of random object while i'm playing the game in the privacy of my own home, in the studio, in a boring movie, at dinner, church, at the beach, in my car, on my yacht, on my private jet, on my spaceship, in the villa i've ha built for me on mars, etc...

Qualcuno pensava ci fossero problemi nel matrimonio tra Travis Barker e sua moglie Shanna Moakler. Ma ecco la smentita dello stesso Barker:

After a tipster claimed Transplants drummer Travis Barker had asked wife Shanna Moakler's friend out, the Barkers sent the following e-mail to The New York Post: "The suspense is killing us. hello people. himynameismark just got a lot cooler. i mean, look at this site! notice the pretty flowers, the unicorns, the rainbows, the balloon-wielding floating human. is this cool or what? it almost makes me want to cry, but i can't decide if it's from joy or shame... anyway, come on it. stay a while. make yourself at home. does your home like this? i sure hope not.

so along with the revamped website, there's a new podcast. it's number eleven or, as they say in spanglish, numero eleven. on this week's himynameismark, we talk to rwo bands that sent in music on good ol myspace - for felix & the bottom line - and play you some rad songs that we're almost entirely positive they've written and performed. i think you'll like them... mostly because i'm telling you that you will. or maybe you'll hate them... mostly because of the sentence i wrote before this one.

himynameismark also includes the podcast return of our dear friend tony thaxton of motion city soundtrack fame. he is as morning-weary as ever. add that to some podcast slumber meeting highlights and you have yet another half hour of your life flushed right down the toilet.

Grissom e il suo gruppo investigano sugli omicidi di tre adolescenti coinvolti in rivalità causate dalla musica rap.

Travis Barker e Shanna Moakler (moglie di Barker, attrice di "Pacific Blue"), Page Kennedy ("Desperate Housewives") e Rick Gonzalez ("Old School") saranno le guest star. Il rapper Method Man, membro dei Wu Tang Clan e star della serie televisiva "The Wire", sarà anche lui una guest star.

La canzone originale "Snitch" del protetto di Eminem Obie Trice verrà suonata durante l'episodio.

L'investigazione sui tre ragazzi uccisi mentre promuovevano il nuovo album di un rapper dirige il team del CSI nel mondo dei rapper rivali Jessie "Dollar" Cleveland (Kennedy) e Hi-Def (Travis Barker), ognuno di loro farà qualsiasi cosa per promuovere se stesso e distruggere l'altro.

Il sospetto del CSI è che l'assistente di Dollar "Drops" (Method Man), la mano destra di Hi-Def, J-Lady (Shanna Moakler) o Marcus, un venditore di automobili a Las Vegas (Gonzalez), potrebbero reggere le sorti della risoluzione del caso. (13/04/2006)

Iniziò tutto con la produzione dell'album "Commit This To Memory", dei Motion City Soundtrack, il lavoro di produttore di Mark Hoppus.

Infatti Hoppus ha prodotto una nuova canzone, questa volta per i Mae. La canzone in questione è "March Of The Pigs", cover dei Nine Inch Nails. Questa canzone sarà inclusa nella compilation edita dalla Fearless Records, "Punk Goes 90s" che uscirà il 9 Maggio. Per maggiori informazioni cliccate qui.

Altro lavoro di produzione per Mark è quello con i We Are the Fury con il quale si è messo a produrre alcune canzoni del nuovo album. "Non so come siamo riusciti a farglielo fare, l'abbiamo incontrato e lui era molto eccitato per farlo. Anche noi non vedavamo l'ora di lavorare con lui e Tim Patalan, che ha prodotto il nostro EP. Quindi è stata una bella esperienza.".
